Who we are
Putlogic is job management software for UK scaffolding firms. It is a product of RAM Software Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17236535. Registered office: Unit C Aldow Enterprise Park, Blackett Street, Manchester, M12 6AE. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean RAM Software Studio Ltd.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC266667.
We are the controller of the personal data described here. If you have any question about it, or want to use any of your rights, email enquiries@putlogic.co.uk.
This notice covers this website and the enquiries made through it. It doesn't cover the information a firm keeps in Putlogic about its own jobs, staff and clients. If you'd like to know how that is handled, ask us.
What we collect and why
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the basic technical information any website needs to work.
| When | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You book a demo or ask about a founding place | Your name, company, phone number, email, how many gangs you run and anything you write in the message box. We also note which part of the page you came from, your calculator estimate if you used it, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. | To arrange your demo or answer your enquiry, and to understand which parts of the site bring enquiries. |
| You ask us to email your calculator results | Your email address, the figures you entered and the estimate. | To email you your results, and to let us see who asked. |
| You download the setup checklist | Your email address. | To give you the checklist, email you a copy and answer any questions about it. |
| You refer another firm | Your name, firm and email, plus the name of the firm you refer, their contact's name and their phone number or email address. | To contact the firm you referred about Putlogic, and to take a month off your bill if they join. Please only refer someone who is happy for us to get in touch. |
| Someone refers your firm to us | Your firm's name, your name and the phone number or email address they gave us. | To contact you about Putlogic. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't contact you again. |
| You pick a demo time | Calendly collects your name, email, the time you choose and any notes you add. Demo calls booked through Calendly may be recorded and transcribed by a note taking tool to help us follow up. If you would rather we did not record your call, just tell us and we won't. | To book and hold the call, send you the invitation and follow up on what we discussed. |
| You email, ring or WhatsApp us | Whatever you send or tell us, and your contact details (for WhatsApp, your phone number and WhatsApp name). | To reply and help you. |
| You accept analytics or marketing cookies | Nothing at the moment. We don't use Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel yet. If we start, they would only load if you accept. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser. | To see which pages and adverts help people find Putlogic. |
| You visit the site | Technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, handled by our hosting provider. | To deliver the site and keep it secure. |
We won't add you to a marketing list from any of these forms, and we never sell personal data.
Our lawful basis
UK GDPR says we must have a lawful basis for using personal data. Ours are:
- Steps before a contract. When you ask for a demo, prices or a call, we use your details to respond, as you're considering becoming a customer.
- Consent. For analytics and marketing cookies, only if you accept them. You can take your consent back at any time in Cookie settings.
- Legitimate interests. To answer business enquiries, send what you've asked for (your results or the checklist), follow up referrals, learn which parts of the site are useful, and keep the site secure. We've weighed these against your interests, and we only use the minimum we need.
You can object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests at any time, and we'll stop unless there's a compelling reason not to.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site and our email. They act on our instructions as processors and may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- Formspree receives the forms on this page (demo, calculator results, checklist and referrals) and passes them to our inbox.
- Resend sends the checklist and calculator results emails you ask for.
- Calendly runs the booking calendar for demos, and its note taking tool may record and transcribe demo calls (you can ask us not to record).
- Cloudflare hosts this website, protects it from attacks and counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites.
- Google Analytics (Google) and Meta Pixel (Meta): we don't use either at the moment. If we start, we'll only load them if you accept, and we'll update this notice first.
- Google Workspace provides our email, where enquiries arrive and are answered.
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (part of Meta) handles that message under its own privacy policy. We see your number, WhatsApp name and message.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or with professional advisers under a duty of confidence.
Data outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law allows, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Demo and sales enquiries, bookings and emails: up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If you become a customer, we keep what we need for as long as you are one.
- Calculator results and checklist requests: up to 12 months.
- Referrals: up to 12 months, or for as long as we need to arrange your credit.
- Hosting and security logs: for the short periods our hosting provider sets.
After that we delete the data, or keep it only in a form that no longer identifies you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have anything inaccurate corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict how we use it
- object to how we use it
- receive the data you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw consent, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email enquiries@putlogic.co.uk. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may need to confirm who you are first. We don't make decisions about you by automated means.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at enquiries@putlogic.co.uk and we'll do our best to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator:
- Online at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
- By phone on 0303 123 1113
- By post to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
Changes to this notice
We'll update this notice if the way we handle personal data changes, and change the date at the top when we do.
